The state of Tamil Nadu on Friday has recorded 4,538 fresh positive cases of COVID 19, taking the total toll to 1,60,907.
Today, 3,391 people have been discharged taking the total number of recovered cases to 1,10,807. The active cases of COVID 19 in the state stands at 47,782.
Today, 79 people have succumbed to the virus, taking the total death toll to 2,315. As many as 48, 669 samples were tested today.
Totally 18,31,304 samples were tested in the state. There are around 109 covid 19 testing facilities in Tamil Nadu.
Chennai continued to see a decline in graph, with 1243 positive cases and 1349 recovered. The second highly infected district, Madurai saw 263 new cases taking a total 3043 active cases.
